● n. m. ● 1. ►BOX * Copie plus ou moins conforme d'un ordinateur, réalisée en général par la concurrence (mais certaines entreprises se sont clonées elles-mêmes par l'intermédiaire de filiales), souvent asiatique (d'où l'expression "Clone taïwanais", voir taï-taï). Voir aussi boîte à riz. * D'une manière plus générale, un clone est une copie (autorisée) sans marque (ou avec une marque peu connue) d'un produit de marque. ● 2. ►SYSTM Machine configurée exactement de la même manière qu'une autre qui sert de machine de référence, à quelques paramètres près. On passe du "master" au clone par le clonage.
