● np. m. ►PERS Créateur de Emacs (et de son LISP, voir elisp) et surtout du projet GNU, par l'intermédiaire de la FSF. Un des gourous de l'informatique. Il insiste pour qu'on appelle Linux "GNU/Linux", car Linux, le noyau, ne servirait à rien sans tous les utilitaires qui l'entourent. Il s'est lancé dans le logiciel libre après avoir été dégoûté par les pratiques propriétaires des multinationales. On le connaît aussi sous le surnom RMS.
